Pets
A directory of the dogs, cats, and the occasional parrot, so you can finally call them by name. Add your own, choose whether to share it, and react to your neighbors’.

Adding a pet
Any approved resident with the pets capability can add a pet from /pets. The form takes a name and a species (dog, cat, bird, fish, reptile, small mammal, or other), plus optional breed, color, and notes. You can attach one photo (up to 5 MB), and if your account is linked to more than one property you pick which one the pet lives at.
Photos go into a private bucket, not a public folder, so they load for neighbors through short-lived signed links rather than sitting on an openly indexable URL.
Who sees your pet
Every pet has a Show in community directory checkbox. Leave it on and approved residents can see the pet; turn it off and the pet is private to you (it still shows in your own list with a Private badge). Pending residents who aren’t approved yet don’t see the directory at all.
Browsing the directory
The page splits into your pets (ringed in your community’s color) and everyone else’s. Search runs across name, breed, color, notes, and the owner’s name, and you can filter by species or sort by newest, oldest, or most reactions.
Reactions
Tap an emoji on a pet to react. Reactions update live for everyone looking at the page, and tapping the same emoji again removes it. Adding a reaction uses the same posting permission as chat; if you’re in a posting timeout it quietly does nothing rather than erroring.
Admin moderation
Admins see every pet, including the private ones, and can remove any pet inline from /pets (there’s a confirmation, since it belongs to another resident). Removals are written to the audit log with the pet’s name and owner, so there’s a record of what was taken down and by whom.
